Our Story
Socastee Print & Ship has a story rooted in growth, resilience, and community.​ The location originally opened as ShipSafe Packing & Shipping, a well-known spot in the area — especially remembered for the many cats that once called the building home. Under its previous ownership, donations were regularly made to a local cat sanctuary, a mission that remains close to our hearts. To this day, we continue to accept optional cash donations for the cat sanctuary for anyone who would like to contribute.​ When the opportunity arose to take over the location, Emily Hanchon saw it as her moment to step into ownership and create something of her own. As a single mother of two amazing daughters, Emily poured determination, grit, and heart into turning this space into a fresh start — not just for the business, but for herself and her family.​ Emily wasn’t new to the Print & Ship world. She had previously worked alongside her brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Bridget Rush, helping support and grow Mullins Print & Ship and Loris Print & Ship. Through that experience, she gained hands-on knowledge of shipping, printing, customer service, and what it truly takes to run a successful small business.​ With a lot of hard work (and yes — a lot of deep cleaning), the store was transformed, the name was changed, and Socastee Print & Ship was born. Today, the focus is on providing reliable services in a clean, welcoming environment where customers feel comfortable and confident.​ We operate with a small-business mindset and a family-first philosophy.
